I was thinking similar thoughts last week when I circulated the link for the position papers, and wondered how much attention they would receive from the community which the Regional Support Centres serve. Not much, I fear. However, as technical know-how increases in the FE community (e.g. with much wider implementation of Open Source Software such as Moodle), I believe that there will be the both the need and the opportunity for more engagement of the kind you suggest. We would be very happy to mediate, if that helps.
