I know thats very last decade, but would get over the “might disappear tomorrow” factor, especially if the licensing included a termination/buyout clause that reverted the source to JISC in the worst-case scenario.

You already know we need to work together on this, what we didn’t know until this post, was that we have very similar visions of the future.

The OSS Watch project you talk about is almost ready to be released to the world as a very early release. I hope to see you on our development mailing lists as soon as it goes live (yes it will be open source).
