The second part of the meeting focussed on the learning design tools. The JISC funded LPP (London Pedagogy Planner)
and the Phoebe Pedagogic Planner concentrates and aims to improve the quality of the learner and the learning outcomes.
Depending on the outcomes, they could be classified as either inspirational or runnable designs or combination of both.

˜The first half of the project takes eighty percent of the time available. The second half takes the other eighty percent. (http://www.xlab.co.uk/extras/quotes/?source=webdesign)

FIRST SIG MEETING

Enjoyed the first SIG meeting(MDR SIG,12/02/2008) at Birkbeck,London.A good opportunity to meet the MDR co-ordinators and other well known people of the MDR SIG. The topics discussed include Usecase Analysis,Enhanced Tagging,ORE Abstract Datamodel,SOURCE project and live demonstration of SWORD and FEED FORWARD projects. I wish to highlight the requirements put forward by the Source project about data migration and Scott’s idea of migrating webct to it.
